QBit achieves post-quantum cryptography (PQC) security certification
June 06,2025
QBit is very pleased to announce that our implementation of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) was successfully certified.
The secure boot function of QBit’s QB7xxx series SOCs, currently under development, incorporates a PQC algorithm, ML-DSA, for enhanced security. The QB7xxx secure boot function successfully passed the Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) certification for ML-DSA, which certifies that the cryptography implementation is compliant with the FIPS 140 standard. Please refer to the certification listing via the following link.

Traditional cryptography algorithms such as RSA are vulnerable to hacking by quantum computers in the coming years as quantum computers become practical. Newly standardized PQC algorithms such as ML-DSA are designed to be secure even against attacks by quantum computers. QBit is very pleased to be among the initial wave of companies to achieve certification of a PQC implementation.
